History's decisive battles are case studies in the things a martial artist must master: awareness, timing, terrain, morale, deception, logistics, and the courage to act. This course walks through twenty-one turning points in world history, from Kadesh (1274 BC) to Stalingrad (1943). Each lesson tells what happened, separates the record from later interpretation, draws out one strategic or leadership principle, and brings it back to your own training and character.
What makes a moment decisive, and how the same forces that decide battles decide the path of a warrior.
From chariots on the Orontes to the fall of Persia, the battles that founded the classical world.
The wars that forged the Roman world: legion against phalanx, and the battle that ended the Republic.
Faith, cavalry, and conquest, from the Arab conquests to the Mongol tide and the Norman crown.
Steel, ships, and shock: the conquest of empires and the last great clash of the galleys.
The age of nations and Napoleon: audacity in the snow, command at sea, and the trap that broke an emperor.
Steel, railroads, and codebreaking: the battles where speed, intelligence, and will decided the modern era, and a final synthesis.
